Finnish bird researchers alonside with international experts gather in a symposium titled The Global Environmental Change: Messages from Birds in Espoo 17.-19.2010. The symposium focuses especially on the utilisation of bird monitoring and other research data in observing, forecasting and interpreting environmental changes. Several of the presentation address the use of birds as indicators of the state and development of nature.
