37) Enhance land use planning around tourist resorts that is sustainable with regard to biodiversity, for instance, by centralising tourism services with a view to safeguarding biodiversity.

Status in 2018:  The implementation of the action has not yet started. In 2015, the Regional Council of Lapland published a Land Use Strategy for Tourism in Lapland, which includes principal stipulations of the development of tourism areas and the associated land use planning. The strategy is valid until 2018.
