Benefit: Culled reindeer

The number of culled reindeer varies annually along with the birth rate. In the late 1980s and early 90s the number of culled reindeer peaked at 170 000 individuals. Since the mid-1990s the number has varied between 80 000 and 120 000 culled reindeer. In the 2000s the quantity of culled reindeer was approximately 2.5 million kg. Most of the culled reindeer are fawns.
