Value of water filtration
HEALTH VALUE More than 90% of the groundwater deposits in Finland have been assessed as good in quality. This has a significant health value as 61% of the communal water supply is originally groundwater. In about 350 groundwater deposits have been discovered unfavourable amount of contaminants. ECONOMIC VALUE The use of groundwater for communal water supply can be considered relatively cost-effective because groundwater is domestic, it's mostly good in quality and the treatment expenses are low. Social value of groundwater consists of, for example, the employment effect of the groundwater supply network. Intrinsic value of water filtration origins from the generous and good-quality groundwater production that ensures reliable water supply in Finland.
