How does climate change impact moths?

A new indicator based on the Finnish moth monitoring scheme (Nocturna) has been published at Biodiversity.fi. The indicator reflects the impact of climate change on moths. According to the indicator, the number of moth species has increased particularly in southern parts of Finland where approximately 40 new species with a southern range have been observed since the early 1990s. The warming of the climate has also enabled several species to produce second and third generations during one season.
