Climate change
Climate change may radically alter biodiversity in Finland. Many signs climate change driven changes are already present. Unfortunately, our understanding is much better concerning new southern species entering our country than of the negative biodiversity changes - species losses and the narrowing of distribution areas - that occur in the north.
The indicators of this section are developed further quite sporadically, as resources allow and as new information becomes available.
