MI16 Protected mires

Strictly protected areas include among others national parks and nature reserves, mire, herb-rich forest and old-growth forest reserves, Natura 2000 sites as well as habitats of species under special protection. These areas are left outside forestry or any other practises. In the two tables below, strictly protected forests are represented by protected areas on state land and protected areas on private land.
